It wasn’t an XKR but I had a pleasant chat with the fellow who owns this nice XK8 last night.
It was parked next to this, a 1954 Buick Century with 8800 original miles. I didn’t miss a zero.
See? Told you.

Fantastic. I used to drive the shit out of the XK8 in Need for Speed High Stakes - love it in British Racing Green.

Would drive again.

Now that I think about it when it comes to oversteer, Jaguar are the manufacturer who immediately comes to mind.

I would argue that many Jaguars are criminally underrated.

Yep! Feels good too. Almost begs for it. I couldn’t figure how to take it out of dynamic mode so I just left ‘er there.

I will always maintain that the XK is better looking than the F-type

I think it’s under-appreciated on the internet because the pictures really don’t do it justice (except that one - it’s getting there). But seeing it on the road, it’s larger than it may seem, and has a lot of presence. I wonder when Jaguar will get around to making a direct successor for it, seeing as the smaller F-type is doing so well.

They should, a GT has been a part of their lineage for a long time.

Not just the XKR, the whole XK range is underappreciated. Which is great for us, because even early year models of the second generation go for cheap money. IIRC, £15,000 will comfortably get you a modern, supercharged 4.2 V8 and some reliability.

That’s true, and it makes me wonder how long we got till the market swings back the other way.

The one majors problem is that the build quality make a base model Focus look like a damn Rolls Royce. Hard plastic. Hard, unforgiving plastic EVERYWHERE.

in the real world and in GTA V.
I have a garages filled with the PSEUDO- Jags, beemers, and Benzzos.
NONE of the Troglodytes i play with appreciate my Jags.
